Do hedgehogs recognize you?

Excuse me, I'm curious about something I read recently. It mentioned the idea of hedgehogs recognizing people. Now, I know hedgehogs are small mammals known for their spines and being quite solitary in nature. But does this mean they actually have the cognitive ability to recognize individuals, like humans do? It seems quite fascinating if true, given their reputation for being quite aloof. So, my question is, do hedgehogs truly have the capacity to recognize you, or is this just a myth?
