Do you actually make money on stake?

I'm curious, do you really generate a profit from staking cryptocurrency? I understand it's a process where you hold onto your coins in a wallet that supports staking and receive rewards over time, but is it really feasible to earn a significant amount of money through this method? Or is it more of a passive income stream that supplements your main investments? Additionally, are there any risks associated with staking that investors should be aware of?
