Should I reply all when saying thanks?

I'm curious, should I really hit the "reply all" button when I want to express my gratitude in an email? On one hand, it seems like a thoughtful gesture to acknowledge everyone's efforts, but on the other, I'm concerned about potentially flooding people's inboxes with unnecessary messages. Is there a general rule of thumb or etiquette guide I should follow when deciding whether to reply all or just the sender?
