Why is Venus blurry?

Why does Venus, often known as the "morning star" or "evening star," appear blurry to the naked eye? Could it be due to its thick atmosphere of carbon dioxide and sulfuric acid clouds, which may scatter and refract light in unpredictable ways? Or could it be a result of Venus's proximity to the Sun, causing the planet to appear larger and more distorted in our telescopes? Is there a scientific explanation for why Venus's appearance seems less sharp than that of other planets in our solar system?
