Why is UX so well paid?

I've noticed that User Experience (UX) professionals seem to be quite well-compensated in the job market. Can you help me understand why this is the case? Is it because UX design has become increasingly important in today's digital landscape, and companies are willing to pay top dollar to ensure their products and services are intuitive and user-friendly? Or is there something else driving the high salaries for UX professionals? I'd love to gain a deeper understanding of the factors that contribute to the well-paid nature of UX work.
