What ever happened to TOMS Shoes?

I've been wondering, what ever happened to TOMS Shoes? They used to be all the rage, with their one-for-one model of giving a pair of shoes to a child in need for every pair purchased. But lately, I haven't heard much about them. Did they fall out of fashion? Did their business model become unsustainable? Or did they simply fade into the background of the ever-evolving world of fashion and philanthropy? I'm curious to know if they're still around, and if so, what their current status is in the market.
