Do rats still drop rune arcs?

I've been hearing rumors that rats in certain video games no longer drop RUNE arcs as loot. Is this true? I've been farming for rune arcs for quite some time now, and I'm starting to wonder if my efforts are in vain. Could you clarify if rats still drop rune arcs in the current version of the game, or if there have been any changes to the loot tables that might affect my farming strategy?
