Are MUJI products high quality?

I'm curious to know if MUJI products are truly of high quality. Many people rave about their minimalist design and affordable prices, but do these factors necessarily translate to high-quality products? I've noticed that some items seem to be made from materials that might not stand the test of time. Is this just a perception, or are there actual quality issues with MUJI products?
