Can you build a bot without using AI?

I'm curious, can you actually construct a bot that functions effectively without incorporating any form of artificial intelligence? It seems that in today's world, AI is a crucial component for bots to be able to navigate complex tasks and adapt to changing environments. So, is it even feasible to create a bot solely based on predefined rules and algorithms, without leveraging the power of AI? Or are we limited in terms of what such a bot can achieve and the level of sophistication it can possess?
