Is Walmart charging for bags?

I'm curious, has Walmart made any changes to their bag policy lately? Specifically, are they now charging customers for bags at checkout? I remember a time when they were free, but I've heard rumors that some retailers have started implementing fees to encourage customers to bring their own reusable bags. Is this the case with Walmart as well? And if so, how much are they charging per bag? It would be great to get some clarification on this matter.
