Is option trading a skill or luck?

I'm curious to know, is option trading truly a matter of skill or is it more heavily influenced by luck? On one hand, I've heard that successful traders rely on technical analysis, market trends, and risk management strategies to make informed decisions. But on the other hand, I've also heard stories of traders who seemingly struck gold through sheer coincidence or good fortune. So, which is it? Is it possible to consistently make profits in option trading through skill and hard work, or is it largely a game of chance?
