Why is Starlink speed so slow?

I'm curious to know, why is it that the speed of Starlink seems to be rather sluggish? Could it be due to technical limitations or is there perhaps a different factor at play here? As a user, I'm finding the connectivity to be quite frustrating at times, so I'm eager to gain some insight into what might be causing this issue and if there are any plans in place to address it.
