Are Komodo dragons aggressive?

I'm curious to know more about Komodo dragons. Specifically, are they considered aggressive animals? Do they pose a threat to humans or are they generally docile? It would be great to gain a better understanding of their behavior and how to safely interact with them, if possible. Additionally, I'm interested in knowing if there are any measures in place to protect humans from potential encounters with aggressive Komodo dragons.
