Can I open a SHX file in AutoCAD?

Hello there, I'm curious about something. I've come across a file with the extension SHX, and I'm wondering if it's possible to open this file type within the AutoCAD software. I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to CAD programs and file formats, so I'm hoping you can shed some light on whether this is feasible. Would AutoCAD be able to handle SHX files, or do I need to convert the file to a different format first? Any insight you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
