Is it hard to get into EPIK?

I've heard that EPIK is a highly sought-after program for English teachers looking to work in Korea. But I'm wondering, is it really that difficult to get accepted into the program? What kind of qualifications and experience do applicants typically need to have? And what sets apart those who are successful in their applications from those who aren't?
