Is Polkadot better than Chainlink?

Is it fair to compare Polkadot and Chainlink as if they are in direct competition with each other? Both projects serve different purposes and cater to different needs within the blockchain ecosystem. Polkadot aims to be an interoperable network, connecting various blockchains to facilitate seamless data and asset transfers, while Chainlink is focused on providing secure and reliable off-chain data feeds to smart contracts. Can we really say one is better than the other, or do they both offer unique solutions that complement each other?
