How is PHA manufactured?

Could you please elaborate on the process of manufacturing PHA, or Polyhydroxyalkanoates? I'm particularly interested in understanding the steps involved, starting from the initial raw materials used, through to the final product. Are there any specific conditions or technologies required for the production of PHA? And how does this process compare to the manufacturing of other bioplastics or traditional plastics?
