Why did Stargate SG-1 end so abruptly?

Can anyone explain why the hit sci-fi series Stargate SG-1 came to an end so unexpectedly? Fans worldwide were left stunned when the show was suddenly canceled, with no clear explanation from the producers or network. Was it due to declining ratings? Creative differences? Or perhaps something more sinister behind the scenes? Whatever the reason, it's a shame to see such a beloved franchise come to a close without a proper send-off.
