Do you need a good PC for ARK?

Hey there, I'm curious - do you really need a top-of-the-line PC to get the most out of ARK? I've heard some folks saying that you can still enjoy the game and its blockchain features on a mid-range rig. But then again, there are those who swear by having a beastly machine to handle all the intensive graphics and processing that comes with it. So, what's the real story?
