Why is venom 2 only 90 minutes?

I'm curious, why does the movie "Venom 2" only run for 90 minutes? It seems like a superhero film with such a popular character would have more plot lines and action sequences to fill out a longer runtime. Is there a specific reason behind the decision to keep it under two hours? Or did the filmmakers simply feel that the story they wanted to tell could be effectively conveyed in that timeframe?
