Will there be a Venom 3?

I'm curious to know, will there be a sequel to the highly anticipated and successful superhero film, Venom? Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the anti-hero character himself have been eagerly awaiting news of a potential third installment. With the second film, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, raking in impressive box office numbers and receiving positive reviews, it seems like a no-brainer for Sony Pictures to continue the franchise. But, has there been any official word on whether or not Venom 3 is in the works? I'm eager to find out if we'll be seeing more of Eddie Brock and his symbiote alter-ego on the big screen.
