Can we do HFT at home?

I'm curious, is it feasible for an individual to engage in high-frequency trading, or HFT, from their own home? I understand that HFT typically involves sophisticated algorithms and advanced technology, but are there platforms or tools available that would allow someone with a basic understanding of finance and technology to give it a try? Additionally, are there any legal or regulatory concerns that I should be aware of before attempting to do HFT from my residence?
