Can you refund heroes in Heroes of the Storm?

I'm curious to know, can you actually refund heroes in the game Heroes of the Storm? I've been playing for a while and have purchased a few heroes, but I'm starting to wonder if there's a way to get my gold back if I decide I don't want to use a certain hero anymore. I've heard rumors that this might be possible, but I'm not sure if they're true or not. Could you shed some light on this for me? Is there a refund policy in place for heroes, or is it a case of "buyer beware" when it comes to making purchases in the game?
