Can I store vet on MetaMask?

Can you please clarify for me if it's possible to store VET tokens on MetaMask? I've been hearing a lot about the convenience and security of using MetaMask for cryptocurrency transactions, but I'm not entirely sure if it supports VET specifically. Would it be a secure option for managing my VET holdings? Or are there any alternative wallets you would recommend that are compatible with VET?
