Where do your airdrops go?

I've been hearing a lot about airdrops in the cryptocurrency world, but I'm still not quite clear about it. Could you please explain where these airdrops actually go? Are they sent directly to our crypto wallets? Or do we need to go through some sort of intermediary platform to receive them? Also, are there any specific conditions or requirements that need to be met in order to qualify for these airdrops? I'm quite interested in this topic and would love to know more about it.
