Should I buy BTC or ETH?

Hello, I'm a bit overwhelmed with the cryptocurrency market. I've been hearing a lot about Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), and I'm trying to decide which one to invest in. Could you possibly help me out with this? I've read some articles about BTC being the original and most popular cryptocurrency, with a strong community backing it. It seems to have a lot of potential for growth, but then I hear about ETH and its smart contract capabilities and the DeFi ecosystem it powers. It sounds very promising too. I'm a bit confused about which one to choose. Do you think BTC has more upside potential, or is ETH a better bet for the future? I'm looking for a long-term investment, so I'm willing to take some risks, but I also want to make sure my money is in the right place.
