Can you dig to China?

Excuse me, I've been hearing a lot about this thing called cryptocurrency lately, and I'm quite curious about it. I've heard stories about people making fortunes in the blink of an eye with this stuff. So, here's my question: can you really dig to China with cryptocurrency? I mean, isn't it just digital money? How does it have anything to do with digging or traveling physically?
