How does Solana make money?

I've been hearing a lot about Solana, and I'm really curious about how it generates revenue. Could you explain, in simple terms, how Solana makes money? I've read that it's a blockchain platform, but I'm not quite sure how the economics of it work. Do transactions on Solana have fees? Are there any other sources of income for the platform? I'm just trying to wrap my head around this new technology and understand its business model.
