Is AVAX better than Cardano?

Hello there, I've been following the crypto space for a while and I'm really torn between AVAX and Cardano. Could you help me understand which one might be a better investment? I've heard AVAX has some great scalability solutions and Cardano has a really solid research background. But, which one do you think has more potential for growth in the long run?
