Should I buy Cardano or Ethereum?

I'm really torn between investing in Cardano and Ethereum. Both of them seem to have so much potential in the cryptocurrency space. Cardano boasts of its advanced technology and scalability, while Ethereum is the pioneer of smart contracts and decentralized applications. But which one should I choose? Cardano's price has been on a steady rise, but Ethereum has a larger market capitalization and a more established community.
