Report: Moonshot AI in Talks with US Cloud Giants for Up to 30% Revenue Share on Kimi K3 Model

Odaily News: Sources familiar with the matter revealed that Moonshot AI is in talks with Microsoft, Amazon, and Google over revenue-sharing agreements that would allow these US cloud computing giants to host its Kimi K3 model. If an agreement is reached, it could mark the first significant revenue-sharing deal between a Chinese AI company and major US cloud providers. The sources said Moonshot AI is seeking up to a 30% share of revenue generated from K3-related services on Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Google Cloud, which is broadly in line with the terms the startup has offered to major customers using its open-weight models.

The sources also revealed that Moonshot AI has already signed similar agreements with some smaller cloud platforms. Alibaba is also seeking revenue-sharing agreements with major users of its new open-source AI model.
