BlackRock's IBIT Sees Over $5B in Private Wallet Bitcoin Inflows, Says ETF Store President
Odaily News: Nate Geraci, president of ETF Store, said BlackRock has lowered the minimum threshold for private in-kind subscriptions to its spot Bitcoin ETF IBIT to $1 million, and has facilitated over $5 billion in related transactions from private wallets.
Geraci said this means some Bitcoin holders are shifting from self-custody to holding Bitcoin exposure through IBIT. He believes risks such as kidnapping, extortion, and custody security incidents are prompting some holders to move all or part of their assets into ETFs.
