The TRON network reached a major milestone on August 23, 2026, officially surpassing 400 million cumulative user accounts, according to data confirmed by TRON DAO. Alongside this rapid user growth, the layer-1 blockchain has now processed over 15.2 billion total transactions, driving aggregate transfer volume past $29 trillion.

Key Highlights

The TRON blockchain reached 400 million user accounts on August 23, 2026.

Cumulative transfer volume across the network has surpassed $29 trillion across 15.2 billion transactions.

Nasdaq-listed Tron Inc. holds a treasury of 711.2 million TRX tokens valued at approximately $245 million.

Shares of Tron Inc. rose 7.49% on August 24 to close at $2.01 following treasury updates.

TRX is currently trading at approximately $0.338, down 1.81% over the last 24 hours.

Reaching its first 100 million accounts required four years following TRON’s genesis block deployment on June 25, 2018. The platform subsequently hit 200 million accounts on December 7, 2023, reached 300 million on April 12, 2025, and has now doubled that user base in roughly three years.

TRON founder Justin Sun described the milestone as evidence of "growing demand for accessible blockchain infrastructure," noting that stablecoin settlement, cross-border remittances, and real-world asset (RWA) tokenization continue to drive primary network usage.

The TRON ecosystem currently hosts the world’s largest circulating supply of USDT, exceeding $94 billion, while maintaining a Total Value Locked (TVL) of over $28 billion across its DeFi protocols.

Cryptocurrency analyst OxPink noted on X that TRON required 2,982 days from network launch to cross the 400 million address threshold, outlining the historical progression across each major growth phase.

Tron Inc. Expands TRX Holdings to $245 Million

In parallel corporate developments, Tron Inc.—a Nasdaq-traded firm previously known as SRM Entertainment—disclosed the purchase of an additional 145,002 TRX tokens on August 24. This acquisition brings the company’s total treasury balance to 711.2 million TRX, worth approximately $245 million at prevailing market rates.

Tron Inc. stock climbed 7.49% following the announcement, closing at $2.01. The firm highlights a growing trend of publicly listed companies adopting altcoin-focused corporate balance sheet strategies beyond traditional Bitcoin allocations, mirroring moves seen by Ethereum-centric treasuries like BitMine.

Separating Corporate Treasury Allocation from Network Usage

Market observers note the importance of distinguishing corporate accumulation from organic protocol growth. Tron Inc.’s token purchases reflect balance sheet management decisions rather than direct increases in daily active users or transaction throughput on the chain itself.

Network performance metrics—such as account creation, total transfer volume, and TVL—serve as independent growth indicators. While unfolding simultaneously, institutional treasury management and protocol usage operate as distinct market drivers.

TRON was recently added to the S&P Pantera Digital Asset Index, selected for its protocol liquidity, network activity, and transaction metrics. The platform has also expanded its institutional footprint through strategic integrations with Anchorage Digital, Securitize, and Bitnomial.

At the time of writing, TRX is trading near $0.338, reflecting a 1.81% daily decline.
