Adam Iza Sentenced to 15 Years for Role in Bitcoin Theft Kidnapping Plot

Odaily News: Adam Iza has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for his involvement in a kidnapping plot tied to a massive Bitcoin theft. The U.S. Department of Justice disclosed that Iza, 26, used a mobile phone and encrypted messaging apps to coordinate and finance a robbery plan that took place in August 2024; his accomplices included six men from Florida, who then carried out a violent carjacking in Connecticut and kidnapped the victim's parents. Iza's brother has pleaded guilty, six other participants have pleaded guilty, and the remaining co-conspirators are awaiting trial.
