U.S. Bank Advances USBDC Stablecoin Development After Real-Time Cross-Border Payment Test
Odaily News: U.S. Bank, a subsidiary of U.S. Bancorp, has completed a test of real-time cross-border payments using its U.S. dollar stablecoin USBDC. The transaction was executed on the Stellar blockchain between its North American and European entities. The pilot also tested the minting, redemption, freezing, and rebate functions of USBDC, and validated its internally developed digital asset platform. U.S. Bank stated that it is exploring use cases in cross-border treasury operations, liquidity management, and collateral transfer, but did not disclose a timeline for making it available to customers or commercializing it.
