Polymarket Launches 'Squads', Combining Group Chat with Prediction Market Trading
OdailyOdaily News: Prediction market platform Polymarket has announced the launch of a new social feature called Squads, available on the US version of the Polymarket app, allowing users to create private groups to discuss markets, share positions and trading portfolios with friends, and trade directly on events of common interest.
Users can view other members' trading activity in Squads and follow trades directly from shared positions or portfolios. Each member still trades independently through their own Polymarket account. Polymarket stated that this move aims to integrate market discussions and trading behaviors that typically occur in group chats into a single platform.
The launch of Squads coincides with the debut of its first football season marketing campaign, "Polymarket HQ," directed by filmmaker Peter Berg and featuring sports and cultural figures such as LeBron James, Eli Manning, Derek Jeter, and Spike Lee. Previously, Polymarket had launched Polymarket Perps, which supports trading price movements of assets such as cryptocurrencies, stocks, commodities, and indices. (PRNewswire)
