Listed Companies' Weekly Net Bitcoin Purchases Down 48% WoW; Strategy Did Not Add Last Week
Odaily News: According to SoSoValue data, as of 8:00 a.m. ET on September 8, 2026, the total net purchases of Bitcoin by global listed companies (excluding mining companies) last week amounted to $267 million, a decrease of 48% from the previous week. Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) did not purchase Bitcoin last week. Japanese listed company Metaplanet did not purchase Bitcoin last week, marking eight consecutive weeks without purchases.
In addition, eight other companies announced Bitcoin purchases or holdings last week. Japanese energy investment company Remixpoint announced that as of September 4, 2026, it held a total of 1,506.23390097 BTC, with a cumulative total expenditure of $111.84 million, an increase of 2.48356398 BTC (not from purchases) compared to the previous week. Entertainment technology company Boyaa Interactive announced that from June 24, 2026 to September 4, 2026, it invested $14.3 million to increase its holdings by 205 BTC at a price of $69,756.097561 per BTC, bringing its total holdings to 4,316 BTC. UK Bitcoin company The Smarter Web Company announced on September 2 that it invested $2.72 million to purchase 35 BTC at $77,708 per BTC, bringing its total holdings to 2,747 BTC. Bitcoin treasury company Bitcoin Treasury Corporation announced on September 4 that its total holdings were approximately 737.71 BTC, without disclosing the total purchase amount or average cost. UK Bitcoin treasury company BHODL announced on September 3 that it spent approximately $77,772.17 last week to purchase 1 BTC, bringing its total holdings to approximately 167.487 BTC. Ethereum treasury company Bitmine announced after 8:00 a.m. ET on August 31 that it purchased 1 BTC, without disclosing the purchase amount, bringing its total holdings to 211 BTC. French Bitcoin company Capital B announced on September 7 that it purchased 376 BTC at $67,182 per BTC, bringing its total holdings to 3,521 BTC. Asset management company Strive announced on September 8 that it spent approximately $109 million last week to purchase 1,375 BTC at $79,281 per BTC, bringing its total holdings to approximately 24,531 BTC.
In terms of financing, Capital B announced that it has raised an additional €7.6 million (approximately $8.83 million) from investors and institutions, including Adam Back, to purchase Bitcoin. BHODL confirmed that it has now completed ATM 2 (second at-the-market offering program), selling a total of 600,000 ordinary shares at an average price of 8.06 pence per share, raising total proceeds of £48,275 ($65,253.32) to purchase Bitcoin, and has initiated ATM 3 (third at-the-market offering program).
As of press time, the global listed companies (excluding mining companies) in the statistics hold a total of 1,119,973 BTC, a decrease of 2.38% from the previous week, with a current market value of approximately $87.77 billion, representing 5.6% of Bitcoin's circulating market cap.
