Malone Lam is expected to attend a federal court plea hearing on Tuesday, related to an alleged $230 million Bitcoin theft case. Prosecutors claim that Malone Lam led an 18-member gang in August 2024, using social engineering techniques to obtain over 4,100 Bitcoins from an investor in Washington, D.C., and subsequently used the proceeds to purchase cars, luxury homes, and private jets, as well as to spend at clubs.If Malone Lam pleads guilty, he will become the 11th defendant to plead guilty in this case.
